فائزہ افتخار کو آل راؤنڈر رائٹر کہا جائے تو غلط نہیں ہو گا۔ انکی تحریروں میں رومان سمیت طنز و مزاح، جذبات و احساسات کے تمام رنگ دکھائی دیتے ہیں۔

طنز و مزاح سے بھرپور یہ مختصر سا ناول بھی اپنے اندر چند بے حس افراد کی کہانی چھپائے ہوئے ہے۔
ناول کی کہانی ویمن ہاسٹل میں رہنے والی سدرہ سے شروع ہوتی ہے، جو اپنی دوست “خولہ” کے ساتھ اسلام آباد اپنی بیوہ خالہ “حبیبہ” کے گھر مجبورا چھٹیاں گزارنے جا رہی ہے۔ خالہ جوان اور ماڈرن ہیں۔ مستزاد یہ کہ خالہ کی تلخ مزاجی اور چڑچڑے پن کی وجہ سے خالہ بھانجی کے آپس میں تعلقات کچھ خوشگوار نوعیت کے نہیں ہیں۔ جسکا برملا اظہار وہ دونوں وقتا فوقتا کرتیں بھی رہتیں ہیں۔
انہی چھٹیوں کے دوران سدرہ کی امی سدرہ کے رشتے کے سلسلے میں کچھ “خصوصی مہمانان گرامی” (علی، مقبول) کی میزبانی کی ذمہ داری “حبیبہ” کو سونپتی ہیں۔

تعلقات میں اتار چڑھاؤ، نئے رشتوں کے بننے و ٹوٹنے، خالہ حبیبہ کے ملازم “شاہ رخ” کے مسکراتے چٹکلوں کے درمیان یہاں کہانی بالکل بدل جاتی ہے اور خالہ حبیبہ کی طنزیہ مسکراہٹوں کے پیچھے چھپی کہانی منظر عام پہ آ کر قارئین کو چونکا سا دیتی ہے۔۔
ہیپی اینڈ کے ساتھ ہنستا مسکراتا بہت خوبصورت ناول ہے۔۔
