ناول میں والدین کی لاپرواہی و کوتاہی، اپنوں کا کردار، خود غرض رشتوں اور بےحس معاشرے میں پروان چڑھتے ہمارے ننھے اور معصوم کردار۔۔ ان تمام مناظر کا ایک مکمل خاکہ کھینچا گیا ہے۔۔

کہانی میں ماضی اور حال کی پرتجسس منظر نگاری کی گئی ہے، جو قارئین کی دلچسپی کا ساماں کئے ہوئے ہے۔۔

ببلی اور اسکے گھر والوں پر بیتے دلسوز واقعات جہاں قارئین کو افسردہ کر دیتے ہیں، وہیں حق نواز اور رومیصہ نثار کا خوبصورت اور مثبت کردار ناول میں امید کے رنگ بکھیرے رکھتا ہے۔۔

ناول میں عام علاقہ میں رہنے والی ایک سادہ سی گھریلو خاتون کی لاپرواہی کو ہی پیش نہیں کیا گیا بلکہ یہ وہ کوتاہیاں ہیں جو دور حاضر میں کسی بھی شعبہ سے تعلق رکھنے والا انسان کر سکتا ہے، انکا تعلق تعلیم اور شعور سے ہرگز نہیں ہے بلکہ ہماری معاشرتی رویوں اور احساس ذمہ داری سے ہے۔۔
اس بات کی مزید وضاحت کے لئے ناول میں ملازمت پیشہ طبقہ سے تعلق رکھنے والی مسز نیلوفر کی کہانی بھی شامل کی گئی ہے، وہ ایک پڑھی لکھی ملازم پیشہ بیوہ خاتون ہے مگر ایک بے ضرر سمجھی جانے والی لاپرواہی انکی زندگی کا عمر بھر کا روگ بن جاتی ہیں۔۔
