فرحت اشتیاق ہمیشہ سے ہی پسندیدہ لکھاریوں میں شامل رہیں ہیں۔ انہوں نے اپنے ناولز میں ہمیشہ ایک بیحد خوبصورت اور رومانوی دنیا کی سیر کروائی ہے، انکی محبت اور رومان پرور تحریریں پڑھ کر ہمیشہ خوشی محسوس ہوتی ہے۔
یہ ناول انکی ابتدائی تحریروں میں سے ایک بہت خوبصورت ناول ہے۔ بہن کی بے لوث قربانی اور بھائی کی بے پناہ محبت کی جھلک دکھاتا یہ ناول پڑھ کر آج بھی دل خوش ہو جاتا ہے۔
کہانی دو بہن بھائی علی اور تائبہ کے گرد گھومتی ہے، والدہ کی وفات کے بعد تائبہ نے خود سے سات سال چھوٹے “علی” کو ماں کی طرح پالا ہے اور اب بھی ایک ماں کی طرح ہر وقت اسکی فکر میں رہتی ہے جبکہ علی کی خواہش ہے کہ ڈاکٹر “تائبہ” گھریلو ذمہ داریوں سے آزاد ہو کر صرف اپنے بارے میں سوچے اور اپنی زندگی کا اہم فیصلہ لے مگر تائبہ کسی بھی طرح شادی پہ راضی نہیں ہے۔۔
ناول کا دوسرے اہم کردار ہیرو “مرتضی” ہے، مجھے مرتضی کردار میں بن روئے آنسو کے “ارتضی” کی بہت جھلک دیکھائی دی۔ ویسا ہی سلجھا ہوا، پڑھا لکھا، باوقار اور محبت کرنے والا انسان، جو علی کا باس بھی ہے۔
